Notification on the X are much better than the fingerprint reader. I dont remember being able to tap on a notification and have the phone bring me straight to it. I would have to unlock my phone then go find that notification manually instead of just having the phone read my face, tap the notification and it unlocks my phone and takes me straight to it. I didn't notice this right away I thought you had to force touch notifications but all you have to do is tap and no need to slide up to open the phone.

It’s better in that way however iOS notification system reall sucks with a capital S. I can’t stand it.

True the notification if you scroll down is pretty bad. I’m happy with the way it performs for current notifications on the lock screen though

All they have to do is group notifications and it would be a big improvement. Or do something like that old Jailbreak tweak where it would just have a little icon and a number on the lock screen that you could tap to look at. I agree though, notification on the X are awesome, just silly when scrolling through them all.

There's always hope that iOS 12 will bring more improvements like better notifications and expanded customization. Apple is running out of tricks to make iOS and the iPhone not stale.

That being said I also noticed, and liked, the ability to go right into an application from a notification.

You can certainly tap on a notification and then use Touch ID to unlock the device and be taken to wherever the notification would take you.

See how fast I forgot how it was like with a home button? Haha
But yea two step process before instead of just one now.
