I just figured this out while I was playing with the settings. There was a white stripe on the bottom of the screen, also a bubble of white on the right bottom corner. After this "tweak" the bubble completely disappeared.

Apple menu
System preferences
Universal Access
Set contrast before the first mark, half way to it.

BAM, screen looks much better, and where's the white bubble? Disappeard..

YAY! Instead of getting your screen fixed you just hide the problem! What a brilliant idea! Good way to save apple from actually having to fix your faulty screen.

Apple thanks you!

(Personally I'd set the contrast to max, to highlight the problem more, and get apple to fix it (as they have to, especially if you have a big white blotch) at their expense. Then again I'm not as smart as you...)

Haha, it hasn't been a problem to me at all. I just saw the contrast and noticed it disappeard. Thought I'd tell you how to hide it

As i said, hiding something which you shouldn't have to hide. Well i pity whoever you sell the laptop to when they find out they have a bad screen and no warranty to fix it because you just "hid" it rather than sending it off to get fixed for free...

It was the time every screen was the same, it works fine and I feared that I get a worse machine. I have gotten used to it, and don't notice it
