So, October 5th is coming up. Is anyone doing anything to honor Steve on the first anniversary of his death?

Perhaps something similar to the displays outside Apple stores last October?

Oh my, I forgot it was coming... Is this going to happen every year? People crying, and all that, all over again?

Steve is ALIVE and well..

While the loss of Steve on this Earthly Plane has caused much grief and sorrow, fear not.. for Steve Jobs is alive and well, in the Spirit World. Check out this website... the Afterlife truly does exist and there is documented proof.. look up Steve Jobs channeling:

Don't worry about Steve what's-his-name. Somehow, Steve managed to patent cloud computing in Heaven before God even realized that patents existed. God now pays Steve a licencing fee for using the Heavens at all.

You are an agnostic idiot.

I'm catholic.

Anyway,

I think its completely insane that people worship this guy like some kind of Saint or God, because he wasns't one. He was a guy who took products that already existed, made them shiney, and said " this is really great " alot.

You don't know me and you don't know anything about what I am talking about.
I can't talk about it here anymore. It is not what you think. I am not worshipping him. It's different in a way I cannot post here.

I must say I'm sick of all these stories by people claiming to know emphatically what Steve would or wouldn't do. One they're forgetting or purposely ignoring the mistakes that happened on Steve's watch. Second they're projecting their own feelings and beliefs on him. They don't like something? They say Steve would never have signed off on it. It's so damn annoying.

This post is very true. He wasn't great enough to 'worship' him like some people do. He was a human, like everyone, unless he was your personal family I don't see the point.

Thank you.

You know what bothers me even more? Sure you could like the guy because he made some cool stuff you wanted to buy.

But when he died? All the displays at Apple stores? Really? Thats disrepectful in my book.

To most people, Steve Jobs was an idea, he represented the idea of Apple, much like Bill Gates represented the idea of Microsoft.

But here's the thing, 99.99999% of these people never met Steve Jobs, they knew next to nothing about him, then they take it personally when he dies. Sure its sad, but you never knew the guy, you never got to know him. And you didn't know what he was like, nor did he really mean anything to you, nor did you mean anything to him personally.

Apple has the best marketing team in the world, thats for sure.

RIP Steve

RIP Steve! You are truly missed! Especially at the WWDC events. :)

To those few that are having a go at Steve, just remember that if it wasn't for Steve then there would be no MacRumors forum. And what are you doing on this forum anyway if you are so against the guy???!!!!!
I can't believe there are morons out there that actually have nothing better to do with their time and their life than whinge and whine over remembering someone who revolutionised how we do things. You guys are either extremely jealous of what Steve achieved or you're completely emotionally dysfunctional. It's sad that there are actually people out there in the world that are like this.

This thread was started by TannerH as Remembering Steve, not 'attacking' Steve.
In future keep your childish insensitive remarks to yourselves.

Peace and respect to Steve!

Since we don't know you or what you are about, and you can't talk about what you mean here...I'm not clear why you posted at all.

Generally one posts to ask a question, or make a point, or reply to someone...but whatever the content of the post it is intended to be understood by the reader.

So why post something that no one can understand and that you can not explain??

Just asking...
