[Thought this would probably be the best forum for this thread :) ]

I have several gigs (say, 25+ GB) of personal data that I usually backup on an external hard disk as well as on DVDs. I'd also like to have the data backed up "outside of home" and I thought an online service could provide this kind of protection - just in case some disaster wipes out the hard disk or DVDs.

I'm not going to consider .Mac because it seems to be expensive and inadequate. Does anyone have suggestions or recommendations about other services that provide encryption, incremental backups, good availability and reliability (and other "useful features")? Something that's cheap(er) would be nice. :)

Of course, it has to be something that works on a Mac (OS X 10.4.2). :) [There are some solutions that are tied to Windows]

Note 1: I've seen a similar post already but no useful solutions. That's why the re-post.
Note 2: The 25+ GB may be backed up in smaller segments over a period of time. So the initial backup is not going to be a "full backup" on day 1.
