Had a chance to use a new Nexus 7.
Here's a couple quick benchmark tests I tried....
Javascript Counting primes to 1000000
http://www.itwriting.com/primetest/countprimes.html
IPad 4 ... 6.5 seconds
New Nexus 7 ... 2.5 seconds
Galaxy Note 8 ... 2.5 seconds
HTML5 Fishbowl set to 100fish
http://ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/performance/fishbowl/
IPad 4 ... 50fps
New Nexus 7 ... 20fps
Galaxy Note 8 ... 17fps (Chrome)
Despite the higher screen density on the Nexus 7, I prefer the uniform brightness and fonts on the iPad.
