Many people are talking about where they're going to camp and/or line up.
Do you think that ordering online will be as chaotic as in person? How fast do you think they'll sell out online?

My plan --

Go to the 5th Ave. store at 4pm

If at 6pm, the line is wrapped around so far back you see signs in New York that read "New Amsterdam," I'll probably go online while in line, and order it because it'll probably sell out online quickly also.

What are your thoughts or plans? Are you going to RUSH to Apple.com at 6pm the way that others plan to RUSH to their local stores?

That's what i'm planning to do, and i think many other's too.

How are they going to regulate online sales though in various parts of the country? If it goes on sale at 6 pm in each area... will the east coast be able to buy online 3 hours before west? (And what sense does that make, honestly?)

Seems like if they start selling online at 6PM EST and work westward thats 3 hours of sales before I get a chance on the left coast.Doesn't seem very fair.

I believe it was stated somewhere that for all online buyers it won't be available for purchase online until 6 PM PST (9 PM EST).

^ True.

It actually works out very well for eastern folks. Wait in line, or just watch the line, and if you don't end up getting one, go home and have a couple hours to get set up for the online buying fiasco.
