I am looking for somewhere to store an additional backup of my data online. Something in the neighborhood of 3TB. What does everyone use? There are so many services out there when you google it.

I only use iCloud because it’s built-in, + BUs to an external via Time Machine. At this point, all of the major services seem pretty comparable. Google Drive, Dbox, Box.com, ??‍♂️. Pick one, try it, and if you don’t like it, choose another?

I have BackBlaze for multiple computers. They have no storage limit for each computer, however you need to understand the limitations. It is only intended to backup your user files, the system and applications folder are not backed up. There are also many file types that are ignored by default (like installers and virtual machines), but you can over-ride most of that.

It will also backup any external disks connected to the computer, but if a drive is disconnected for awhile (a month?) then the backup of that drive will be deleted (you get a bunch of warnings before that happens). For an additional charge, they will save those backups forever though.

I'm using Wasabi. There are several apps you can use to back up to there, I'm using Arq.

I have 2TB limit on my cable provider. So that could become an issue for some.

Microsoft OneDrive is suppose to start offering _uploads_ of 240GB files to assist in 3D collaboration.
A family plan O365 gives up to 6 people 1TB each.
Also OneDrive can act up and not the smoothest. Better with Windows than Mac.

on the land line mr. smith.
Tons of cloud storage vendors...so expect to get lots of different opinions. Hard to argue with iCloud...integrated and nothing to install. But do they offer more than 2TB? 3TB+ rule out quite a few, seems like a lot top out at 2TB.

Which ones have 3TB or more? Much shorter list.

I see iDrive does. I tried their free tier several years ago, and the client was unstable, and actually caused stability issues. Hopefully, they have that resolved, or perhaps one could use the web interface?

Wasabi seems like good pricing, have not used them. I use the free version of Mega...they have a pretty good rate for their 8TB plan @ about $245 per year.

Is BackBlaze easy to recover files from ? Like just one file.

It is pretty straightforward, but obviously not as simple as copying a file from a local backup disk. A year ago I had a failed external drive on my Windows PC. It was mostly old stuff I didn't need, so I was able to restore some individual files from the backup. See this:
