I'm not an expert on how to set this up. But I was thinking, in order to help people narrow down which laptops are affected, it sure would be great if there were an online survey or poll that allowed people to list:

- the type of display: matte or glossy
- the model number of their computer
- the manufacturer of their display
- whether they have the complete screen or bottom 1/3 yellow colour cast problem
- whether their screen flickers when viewed at less than 100% brightness
- if they were able to resolve the colour cast problem by calibrating
- if they were able to resolve the colour cast problem by getting an exchange
- for those where the exchange fixed their problem, whether the panel was made by the same manufacturer or the other one.

We could look at the results and quickly find the patterns.

Thoughts?

Thanks iW00t.

I hope that it's that easy.

But after reading the forums, there are quite a few conflicting accounts.

What I intended is an online form with a poll/survey with buttons and checkboxes that people could click through and we could all see the tabulated results.

The reports are all over the place. I have the glossy Samsung, which is the polar opposite of iW00t's display, and I also have no issues.

I am really so pleased with mine.

For a while I just sat around comparing the output of various wallpapers between the LG screen and my older NEC 2080UX+ desktop monitor. The LG is probably slightly less vivid in colour, but it has excellent contrast and very good details in the shadows.

I am so pleased! :D

Selling that older 9C60 one was a good choice, man that old display drove me up the wall.
