Online 'Unlocks', do they work?

That one doesn't work. Look at the benefits and next to last one:

"Unlock iphone with baseband 05.11.07 "

Also, you should never pay for a jailbreak or unlock. Geohot and the Dev Team have never charged a single penny. The Dev Team doesn't even accept donations.
 
Ok I saw that. I am just a little pissed because I just traded for a 3G (8GB). Basically only cost me $120. The guy doesn't erase anything off of it, and the idiot I am, did an iPhone erase...then upgraded! I just want to use it... hopefully an unlock comes out soon.
 
No online pay site will have unlocks or jailbreaks before The Dev Team or other iphone hackers release them.
Then all these type of companys do is steal their work and sell it.
I know you're really dieing for an unlock but dont waste your money or time. The only other option could be a turbo-sim adapter for the moment till an unlock is released.
 
There are only two people/groups who have ever created ways to unlock iPhones. Those are Geohot and the Dev-Team. Everyone else who tells you he can unlock your iPhone is selling a Dev-Team or Geohot tool.
 
I gave in and sold the 3G today...and bought another one that is unlocked. Thank god I still have my 1st Gen iPhone in the mean time....
 
it would be cool if we could like hack the sim card and change the carrier to at&t, but ur still on a different carrier, it would like fool the phone...like that useragent faker app on cydia makes websites think ur on a desktop browser...whoever does that is gonna be famous fast.
