Check this out. It takes like 1 minute to sign up and DL the player. All you need is an email.

It's pretty cool. You get to play these games on the list for free and you also get to watch anyone else playing their games.

I think the "playpack" games are sort of like "Standard Cable". You pay a subscription fee to play any of them. Then you have the "premium channels" like new releases "Assasins Creed", etc. That you pay for either a couple of days or lifetime.

OnLive's been awful for me. Can't get a good connection half the time, text is often illegible, game is fuzzy to the point of ugliness.

It's telling that the only time I can get decent performance is around 3am. And this is with a cable connection over Ethernet.

I think it's 720p, so what kind of computer you have? Maybe you actually need a half decent video card even though it says it can work on any computer.

It's the latest iMac model, el cheapo version. No way is my compy the problem; all the symptoms point to a bad connection.

Unless I'm willing to get my very own personal fiber optic cable, there's no way for me to improve Internet speed on my end.

Yeah, I guess since they advertise with EVE Online in the picture you'd think it can at least run that at decent settings.

I imagine it's prolly your cable provider. It should work decent in NYC but latency would be a big problem.
