Does anyone have any advice on how to stop the onscreen/virtual keyboard from always popping up when I am using the Smart Folio case? After I minimize it in an app it seems to stay down for atleast a few times that I open the application but I consistently find myself minimizing the onscreen keyboard when I am using the smart folio... Anyone have the same experience?

Depressing to hear that. I have found it to be a chronic bug on the first two generations of Smart Keyboards. Had hoped they would have fixed this by now. [Edit — I thought the OP was referring to the Folio Keyboard case. But maybe not, in which case the response below makes sense.]

The keyboard will always pop up unless there is another keyboard available. Since the smart folio doesn’t have a keyboard I don’t see how you can disable the onscreen keyboard. If you are mixing up the smart folio and Smart Keyboard, the iPad only activates the actual keyboard when the iPad is connected in one of the two positions. If the iPad is not connected/locked in to the keyboard it doesn’t see the keys that way you can fold it behind and not have to worry that the keys would be getting pressed while holding it.

Hope this helps

I have never had that issue, but I didn’t use the ASK very often to be honest.
