Just got a mbp 16 from apple and it has what I believe is a stuck pixel (more than one actually)

Wondered how it passed Q&A

Guess I’ll return or exchange it

But since I bought with back to school promotion I’m not sure I can get refunded for the gift card

This might interest you (though since you just bought this, it doesn't apply to you since you can return or exchange it for any reason):

Interesting indeed

16 pixels on a monitor ,whoa

Yeah idk if I can return it because of the gift card tho

Btw it’s in a single area ,but it’s surely more than 1 single pixel

I'm not sure why it would matter whether you paid with a gift card or not. Apple's not going to force you to keep a product you aren't satisfied with as long as you return it during the return period. I'm sure they'll return your gift card balance or just let you exchange it. I know it's not Apple, but I've returned Amazon purchases before that were paid by gift card, and they simply refund my gift card balance with no hassle.

Ok, I'm confused. Did you not pay for the Mac WITH a gift card? So how could they refund you for the Mac without putting a balance back on your gift card? They're not going to give you cash, lol!

yeah sorry i shoulda explained better .i bought it with back to school promotion

basically they charge you macbook-150 plus a separate 150 euros gift card

so u have 2 purchases, one for the mac and another for the card . if u refund the mac, you'd only get mac-150,so i'd have to refund the card as well, whcih apparently may not be feasible

not sure i made that super clear ,did i

They would probably either put the money back on the gift card, or onto your debit/credit card.

Ok, I looked the promotion up, and I think I get it now. Basically you purchased a 16" MacBook Pro + a 150 euro gift card, but they discounted the MBP by 150 euros. So in effect you paid full price for the MBP and got a free gift card. It still seems to me like Apple would simply exchange the MBP you bought for an identical one. Let us know what they say.
