Running 9.3b2 with a brand new 6s on T-Mobile. The Ookla Speedtest app seems to crash every single time I try to run a test with wifi off. If wifi is on, it works just fine. Have deleted, reinstalled, reset network settings etc...no dice. I did notice that while on cellular, the speed test app automatically selects a server in Bellevue Washington hosted by T-Mobile. Even if I change the server though, as soon as I try to tap 'Begin Test', the app crashes when on cellular. Is anyone else experiencing this?

It's the carrier update from T-Mobile. It broke a lot of services utilizing cellular data.

Ugh...bizarre, since TMo speed tests specifically from Ookla do not count towards data usage. What else is not working properly, that you know of?

I am noticing the same thing with a 6s Plus on 9.3b1.1. In one location yesterday it was quitting as soon as I clicked Begin Test. Today I was at a location with terrible signal and the test timed out on cellular and it never quit. I also tested on Wi-Fi and it seems fine.

Ditto...only crashes on Cellular, but will complete every now and then...like 1 in 50 attempts. Also noticed this issue with the Amazon app, while at Walmart...see screenshot:

The Paper app for Facebook also doesn't appear to be working, while on cellular.

The issue is definitely with the carrier version 9.3 beta 2 seems to have given for you all in the US. Here in Canada my carrier version for 9.3 beta 2 is 23.5.3 vs the 23.5.4 you all got. (Beta 1 I believe was 23.5.2 across the board for all.)

I would fully expect all to be well again for you all in beta 3.

I forgot to add to my previous post that I tested Speedtest a few times on only cellular LTE and wifi off. Not once did I get a crash with my 9.3 beta 2 carrier version of 23.5.3.

Yeah, I would go on an endless tirade regarding my anger with this silly issue because it is very annoying, but like it's a beta, so I'm not allowed to complain.

Don't forget that 23.5.4 also killed exchange email service over cellular for T-Mobile as well.

Confirmed.
[doublepost=1454444151][/doublepost]What's interesting is that none of the above applies if (for example) using the phone as a hotspot with an iPad or another iOS device. Used an iPad earlier with hotspot on my iPhone, and everything was working fine. So bizarre for the carrier update to cripple so many things at once. Have you guys all submit feedback? Not sure where to send feedback to for T-Mobile?

Oh thank god, I thought it was just me.

It seems to have killed more than the Ookla speedtest app. Tried a couple other ones, they don't crash, they time out instead.

this issue looks to be resolved. a bunch of apps that weren't working are now working with the latest beta.
