title says all...i have updated on purpose because i was literally stuck in dfu mode. and couldnt restore to anything but 3.1.3.......so what now? can i downgrade? it needs to be unlocked to work also, doesnt help that its my father in laws :/

I told you what would happen if you did that but you still restored to 3.1.3? You couldn't come back and ask for a little help? We probably could have got you out of DFU mode, but we can't possibly unlock the new baseband for you. Congratulations, your impatience has rendered your father-in-law's phone useless to him. Maybe you'll learn something from this.
