I've been having this really weird issue with my company's CS3 beta. I'm making catalog sheets for them on my MBP, and when I transfer them (in jpg, bmp, png, pdf, etc.) to my work PC, the background opaqued layers disappear (reflections, blur, effects).

I have no idea why, as the file shows up fine in OSX Mail but disappears when I load it up in Thunderbird or whatever on my PC. I've even tried taking a screen shot of the image in Preview and sending that file over and that still doesn't show up.

Any clue as to why this is happening?

Try flattening your layers in PS first, than save it as a different format. If I understand what you are trying to do.

Is your PS3 beta always like this? Remember this is a beta version and Adobe said it'll not work soon after CS3 comes out.

There shouldn't be any way that those formats look different on the two machines, aside from monitor calibration issues. Plus if your CS3 beta is anything like mine it expired today. Did flattening and exporting help?

Hm, I'll ask my boss about the software versions... I'm sure they'll get me CS3 when they get around to it :)

Anyway, I did select "merge layers" but didn't select "flatten". When I get back from lunch I'll try that again.
