macOS Open an applescript - can a shortcut be made?

Lets say, I have made an applescript, which opens some programs, closes others and so...
But, is there any option to make a shortcut for it, so that i could use (open) it whenever i want - in any application?
Or do i have to put in the applescript folder and open through the "applescript icon" in the menubar?

Well besides using a third-party application launcher and writing your own custom launcher, no - the scripts menu is meant for what you want.
