I found this open box excellent condition 11” iPad Pro M4 256gb for $830 plus tax. Good deal? Or should I wait for Black Friday in case the price goes lower for a new one? I do have to get this at Best Buy- have a gift card there).

If you need one now for work/school, I'd say go ahead and get it. They've been out in less than a year so their condition and battery health should still be great.

Otherwise, I would wait for a possibly better deal on Black Friday.

What is the normal price for them? How much does it cost brand new? If you really need it or want it now and you can live with that price, go for it. If it's a "want" that can wait, then wait to see if Black Friday has a better deal for you.

They’re $899 on the Apple site with the education discount. The regular Best Buy price is $999, but they have already been on sale at least once for $899. I do need one, but I guess I could wait until November to see what happens and make do until then. My old iPad is broken and I can’t trade it in.

Both that Best Buy deal and the Apple Education store deal are good. Apple's back to school promo is ending on 09/30 I believe. Best Buy's open box items are generally pretty good (although not as good as Apple's).

I wouldn't buy it for that price used, not that big of a difference and you run the chance on an open box item. I'd wait for Black Friday and see what deal they have then. Good luck!

$830's a decent price, if they will sell AppleCare+ with it. AC+ is only available for 60 days after the "First" sale date, so if it's been longer than that & they can't add AC+... I'd give it a pass.

Update- this iPad is a good deal. 5 charging cycles and in perfect condition, battery at 100%. 48 days left for Apple Care. So basically barely used. Just thought people should know in case you’re in the US and considering Best Buy open box. The only thing off was the box which had some ugly tape and marker on it (who cares). I also got an open box excellent condition pencil pro for $98 and got another $10 off with points. Great stuff.
Shocking though that I wasn’t able to transfer info from my other iPad because it was upgraded to iOS 18 - what??? When is iOS 18 going to be ready for the M4 iPad?
