i've always used this (instead of the usual login), and wanted to STILL use it.
however, since updating to ML (way back, oh, 8 hours ago), i cannot get it working.

i booted holding 'option', went to the recovery drive, and opted to activate the OF password.

but on rebooting (WITHOUT holding option), it's not working.

anyone? (or am i the only one who does this? )

Mountain Lion does not support OpenFimware passwords because it does not run on PPC Macs. You may be thinking of a firmware password.
