Open in "App Store"

Just updated to iOS 10.3 last night. Today, each time I click on a link in Safari to open the App Store, I get a pop up message asking "Open in App Store". Before, I did not get this message, and the App Store would automatically open. Is this new and is there an option to disable it?

I've had it like that for some time, although it's not always consistent--sometimes for some links that message would pop up, other times it would just go to the App Store directly. Not sure if it's perhaps dependent on how the App Store is called in the link or anything like that.
