I need to view a 3dxml file, I only have a mac and no bootcamp thingy.

All I want to do is see it, I have downloaded and tried:
3dvia player, blender, GLC player, K-3D app, Xml viewer, 3D Life Player, OSG composer. None of which will open or import or view the file.

The format is from a company called Dassault Systèmes which supposedly has a Mac viewer, but I can not find an actual download for it.

Another site said that there is a "plethora" of online converters for this type of file, but what? where? Zamzar won't do it.

any help please.

Thanks for the reply, I downloaded and launched the Octagaplayer, opened the file, but nothing happened. no error ... nothing. Maybe I just dont know how to view in these apps.

Sorry — I genuinely thought it would work.

FreeWRL VRML/X3D Viewer

If that doen't work then I'm not sure what to do from there.

Edit: Just to confirm I have used both this app and Octagaplayer to work with x3d and wrl files — I'm not just randomly Googling this stuff!

the files i have may be corrupt, in any case the author sent me a different format (.easm) and the app to open it "solidworks edrawings".
thanks for the suggestions anyway.

The Mac viewer for 3dxml is 3dvia player. IIRC it supports 3dxml version 2 onwards. You problem may be that prior to SolidWorks 2009 sp2, SolidWorks published 3DXML files at version 1. AFAIK there is no Mac viewer for 3DXML version 1.

Thanks for that complete and on spot answer. I suspected something in that general direction.
