I have an imac running snow leopard. When I click on a pdf file it puts it in my download folder. Then I have to click the Macintosh HD, click on downloads, and then click on the file.

Is there a way to make it so when I click a pdf file it automatically opens right up without me having to go find it?

Thanks.

do you mean from safari or firefox or mail or something else? in safari pdf's automatically open within safari. within mail you can press spacebar to quicklook it. with firefox you need to download a pdf viewer extension.
