Open RSS feeds in Safari (and stop redirects to Apple News app)

Every time I try to open an RSS link in safari, it tries to open in News. If I click cancel, it just doesn't open at all. Is there a way to get RSS links to open in safari?

Safari don't support RSS.

I feel these answers are totally besides the point. Safari should be able to SHOW an RSS feed. NetNewsWire and ViennaRSS are for subscribing, which is something entirely different. :-/

Safari shows feeds like http://feeds.macrumors.com/MacRumors-All but, to my knowledge, support for classic xml feeds has been removed from all major browsers. https://www.feedforall.com/sample.xml
