So i downloaded Flipcontrolcenter
and also the ssh switch

but when i try to toggle the ssh switch it just keeps saying off. am i missing something else?

i cant turn it on in the first place, haha toggles are normally off. But id like to turn it on and off only when i need to transfer stuff

Did you actually install the OpenSSH package itself, or just the flip switch toggle? For whatever reason, OpenSSH is NOT a dependency for the toggle, so you can install the toggle without the actual package, in which case the switch will do nothing

I haven't used toggles to turn it on or off. By default after installing it (Open SSH) you don't really have to do anything.

thanks, i also figured it out

i installed
flipcontrolcenter
ssh switch

but i fogot to install open SSH LOL
Anyway its working now, i can turn it on and off whenever :)

Glad you got it sorted. The ssh switch is kind of a strange one, it seems that OpenSSH should be a dependency for the switch, but it is not. I think just about all of the other flipswitch toggles I have used depend on what they are switching (e.g., installing the f.lux switch forces you to install f.lux if it is not already, same with AdBlocker). There may well be some good reason for the ssh switch to be this way that I'm just not aware of
