Hey guys,

So I have been running my Mac on Opencore for quite a while, mostly because I wanted to get TB kind of working. However, there is a game that I want to try that is about to come and I will unfortunately need Windows for it. I doubt Parallels will do any good job at running that, so I am wondering if I have a pre-installed Windows drive (if it is only it plugged it actually boots no problem) if there is a way to get it to be visible on the OpenCore screen? I remember there was a tutorial here about that, but I can't seem to find it and all I am seeing is fresh installations of Windows.

Thanks in advance!

if its legacy windows (what is the most secure way) you can chainload Refind for booting windows, check the open core thread.

Hey,

Thanks for the info. Found some of the stuff. Quick question is it safe to install refind directly without touching anything in EFI just to see how things work? Or do I need to modify everything in the EFI folder before re-boot?

I am guessing I need to use MyBootMgr and then load RefindPlus on it?

that's the other way it would work.

there are 2:

1. RefindPlus loads OpenCore or legacy windows
2. OpenCore loads Refind(plus) or BigSur
