You are trying to create popups?

Just search for javascript and popup.

Indeed, be aware that pop-up blockers are becoming the norm so it won't likely work unless people make an exception for your page. This is usually bypassed if the user engages the act, like clicking on a link.

Popup blockers don't block windows due to invoking them without address bars...they block them for being invoked without user intervention. So any automatic action to open a new window is likely to be blocked by any modern browser.

Yes, those are popups... Opening a new window without the user clicking anything... that is a popup.
