When opening photos from iMessage on macOS, it shows a preview, then I have to click "Open With Preview" in the window that shows.
Is there a way to merely have it when I open the photo from iMessage it just opens in 'full', i.e. in Preview?

So many clicks. Clearly am doing something wrong...

I have photoshop set as my default editor instead of preview, but if I right-click on an iMessage photo, one of the options is "Open". The image then opens in Photoshop and I assume it would open in Preview for you.

...thanks!

Oddly, as I tested today, by merely double clicking on the photo in iMessage on macOS (Monterey), it opened fully, versus a small 'preview'.
