OpenSSH question; itunes on PC, SSH on Mac?

I hope you guys can help me out. I have been reading everything I can before trying anything with my iPhone since I got it. So far I have done the jailbreak, downloaded themes, etc.

Now I am ready to give SSH a try. I have read some great tutorials but now I have a very simple question. My PC has my iTunes on it so that's what I use to sync my iPhone (the PC). My MacBook has CS3 so, with help from my wife, I can attempt to be artistic.

Can I use SSH on my MacBook without transfering any of the iTunes info from my PC?

Yep all you need is the ip address of your iphone, and it will work. It can be done with any computer.
