Opera VPN for iOS

Does anyone use this? It appears to work great when you're using WIFI.. VPN connects, blocks ads and ad trackers..

when I leave WIFI coverage and it goes to LTE, data completely drops. LTE never reconnects, the VPN tries over and over to connect to the Opera VPN and it never does.

Tried emailing their support, nada. Why would the VPN not work over LTE? seems like a block from my carrier..

if it works by disconnect & reconnect manually when on lte then its cause of the ip change from ur home isp to ur carrier. not all servers accept roaming ip changes on the fly without u disconnect/reconnecting.

Doesn't even work that way.. If I'm on LTE and data is working, I'll try connecting to Opera VPN and it'll tell me it cannot find the VPN server address.

Oddly the Android version of Opera VPN connects over LTE perfectly fine.. It's either a limitation of the iOS version or some issue on iOS itself that is causing this..

I dont see a single FAQ or other post on the internet about Opera VPN working on cellular/LTE.. I can't possibly be the only person affected by this can i? lol

if the address is a dns name resolve it & enter in the ip, or ur carrier could be having routing issues.

Opera is trash, had really bad speeds with them
TunnelBear and CyberGhost are good ones to use, and CyberGhost has a bunch of options

Yeah I've noticed some bad speeds.. decent for just browsing the web but thats about it. The good is it's 100% free and blocks ad/ad trackers..

I looked up CyberGhost and its getting terrible reviews from the latest update.. TunnelBear looks good.. is it worth it to pay? I like Opera because it blocks ads in applications.. Don't attack me, let me explain. I have 0 problem with paying for apps.. provide me a good app with ads, I'll buy it. It's ads that don't have ANY method for getting rid of the ads, like IMDB or some other gaming news apps. I think ADS ruin the experience and the apps look better without ads, so this is why I use Opera VPN.

You can try CyberGhost for free, I do believe that I saw some adblocking capabilities.

I find Opera a bit dubious. They have stakes in online advertising and were acquired by a Chinese investment fund precisely for this business. A VPN gives them quite a bit of insight into browsing habits and that service must come at a cost for them.
