Operating system out of date error, but system IS "in date"

Just upgraded to 10.10 Yosemite. Tried updating my AutoCad 2013 software and I'm getting an error stating that I must have 10.6.4 or later.

its reading the .10 of 10.10 and assuming that you're under the minimum version (.10 being less than .6)

No later build from Autocad out yet that might have addressed it for you?

You can spoof your version of OS X.

That was exactly it.
I found a way to "fake" the OS version:

Changed it to 10.90, and the program installed.
