Hey, one thing I have noticed is that my MBP seems to be running cooler the more I use it. The first time I used Handbrake to convert a DVD to MP4 it ran about 75 to 80 degrees C, now when I use it it runs about 60 to 65 Degrees C. Is this normal? Maybe the thermal paste is settling? Interesting ...

I bought my MacBook (my first Mac) on Tuesday, and I was alarmed by hot hot it got, and I wasn't even doing any CPU instensive tasks -- just surfing Safari and chatting with Adium. But now just 2 days later it seems to be running a lot cooler, too.

I'm not too aware of the hardware sides of things, would you mind explaining what "thermal paste" is?

It conducting material that sits on the processor and aides in the dissipation of heat. There has been a lot of talk about poor thermal paste application by apple.
