Hi Guys,

Looking at buying an iPhone, however, they're out of my price range at the moment.

What do people make of refurbished iPhones? Anyone have any bad experiences of them.

Thanks,

If it's from Apple the I'd say go for it. It will have the same warranty as a new device and they're QC is pretty stringent. If you're talking about 3rd party refurbished, I would say a hard NO.. I have no direct experience with 3rd party repairs or refurbished phones but I'd rather deal with Apple because I've had excellent support on the rare occasion when I did have problems

I was looking at Apple's Refurbished offerings and the iPhone X is $549. I ended up buying a mint condition iPhone 11 with battery health at 100% on eBay for $490. I simply inserted my AT&T SIM and all is good. If you do the same, make sure the seller has great feedback and a lot of it.

I’ve had great experience with Apple’s refurbed offerings. Not long ago, purchased a refurbed iPhone for my aunt who wanted to upgrade from her 5s, and she is extremely happy with it. As other have expressed, buy direct from Apple.
