Opinions needed on some potential logos...

Logo A is the logo in use currently, I think it looks just fine (aside from the font, in my opinion). But my brother asked me to design a few ideas he had for his company, which are B and C. Personally, I think C looks the better of the two, but I would love to have your input! I must say I don't consider myself much of a graphic designer, not sure if that's prevalent in these designs or not. But any honest opinions or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you!

A looks the best. Pretty clean. Too much going on in C and B for me. Just make the "Web solutions beyond expectations" font a little bigger.
 
I prefer the first one. But generally speaking, you should keep your logo clean especially from those blur or glow effects. They make it atrociously hard to place on different backgrounds and color, and they don't really look nice when printed.
 
A is the most readable and balanced.

Have you tried cutting the O out of the leaf rather than using the stem? I guess it's the wrong shape of leaf for that.
 
"A" is best for me as well but I do like the idea of trying to incorporate the logo into the name, So maybe you could do a bit of work in that area which might help make it look a bit more fluid and part of the text? hth :cool:
 
I have to say "A" as well - simpler and cleaner. I would actually read B and C as "akridgeHost" if I hadn't seen A. But I do prefer the text in the latter two.
 
A vote for none.

Too many things going on, there's no clear subject in the logo. a logo is like a whole image, and yours is text with subtext and a leaf
 
Wow thank all of you for your feedback and input. Very much appreciated! I'll take all of this into consideration and make the necessary adjustments. I'll try to post the revised logo after I finish. Again, thank you very much, this is a pretty informative and helpful community!
 
sorry this is very rough as just had 5mins to spare, leaf would need re drawing properly etc, but what about something like this?

I think that those are great. I would also recommend this because I doubt that the picture of the leaf in the original is vector (and this is for the OP, not you, Dave), which is ideal for a logo because it's infinitely scalable without losing sharpness.

I'd greatly prefer something like that as an identity from a design perspective. Nice and clear, scales well, and the mark can easily be used by itself for other marketing purposes.

Very nice.

My only quibble is "feel" at this point. It's a logo for a web host beyond expectation, but right now it feels more like a real estate or B&B logo. You mentioned redrawing the leaf, and I think that's the key here. You need to reinterpret the leaf in a a way that bridges the two themes of reliability and old-style values with high tech ... without getting cheesy.

No small feat.
 
Start over by hiring someone who knows how to design. The whole concept you're trying to force is cliché and poorly executed. Leave logo designing to designers and you stick with whatever you do best. Problem solved.
