Just looking to get a feel for how many of you use MS Office X and if you like it or not. I downloaded the trial today and I looks nice. I really like Entourage. I know Mac has iCal and Stickies and Address book but its nice to have them all together. I cant help but feel that I am making my iBook dirty by installing a Microsoft product. Dont get me wrong, I use Windows all day long along with my Mac but I really did want to keep them segregated.

Thanks!

I like Office enough, but I don't use Entourage. The only downside is that it's really hard to make outlines (at least I've never figured out how). In AppleWorks, it's REALLY easy.

i use it a lot... it's the "standard" and as a univ. staff, i only had to pay $45 for unlimited install, so i had no reason not to...

it's actually very well made. i like it better than PC versions. there are some minor annoyances, but they are very minor.

It's annoying, badly designed from a user-interface standpoint, and clunky.
It feels extremely sophomoric.

Pure T. Junk.

But we don't have many other options, do we.

It's pretty good despite being bloated and I agree that in many aspects its better than its PC counterparts. I'm also a college student and really Office is a must for anyone in college. The only issue I have is that it is slow sometimes and I personally do not like Entourage. Also, PowerPoint should be mone in line with the PC version.

I don't see why some of you people critisize Office, or saying you are ruining your mac by installing a Microsoft product, in my opinion, Microsoft Office is by far the best in its class. and we should be happy that there is a mac version, the last thing people want is to be stuck using AppleWorks all day. I even like powerpoint better then Keynote. Keynote is very limited. Its only strong point is nice graphics...

I'm considering buying the student edition as well. Anyone notice how many more people want Office now that the price dropped? Funny how that is. Personally, I always thought Office for windows was bloated, so it really doesn't suprise me that this would be bloated. However, I never did my test drive and now it's expired so I'm trying to download it again.

AppleDoesn'tworks just sucks. I like keynote but need to view powerpoints in a native format. Entourage... well, we'll see. I would only switch to it if it syncs with palm. Excel, maybe one day.

But if my girl doesn't want it too I won't buy it.
