Here is a sport gold, with a Milanese gold band. Any thoughts?

I had an uncle with a gold Timex with the Mickey Mouse face, that had a gold Milanese band. I thought it looked great then, and I still think so today.

The problem here obviously is the finishes don't match. It's not terrible, but it's not great either.

Apple really needs to introduce the $1500 gold clad watch for all those people who won't wear silver, and want something more formal looking than the Sport, which has no matching band lugs at all. Of course that still wouldn't solve your problem as you'd need to upgrade your watch. What is surprising is that Apple almost certainly sells more of the Sport than all others combined, so one would think they would have the greatest number of optional bands available for purchase. Guess they want to force customers who want a better selection of bands to upgrade.

I'm still perplexed that Apple has not offered the 18kt gold link bracelet for the Edition after giving one away to Karl Lagerfeld. I was expecting them to announce it at the September event. So I suppose there's the possibility that Apple may introduce some new bands before Black Friday, though I doubt we'll see the mid-tier gold watch until the gen 2 watch launches.

I agree the finishes are off a bit. I took the photo to show as drastic of a difference as possible. In some lighting it is very hard to distinguish the difference. Great feedback and keep the opinions coming.

Looks like someone trying to be something their not to me. I'd likely point at you with my wife and laugh about how it looks. But i also hate gold, so that's just me :)

My wife and I are guilty of doing this too. Appreciate your honest opinion. That said I really have grown to like it over the past 48 hours. Like anything give it a week and I will be back to unsure or hating it. I do really like the black leather band I got for it the most, the issue is the adapters still don't match well. Hoping for more options soon.

If you needed an opinion, I'd say no to this combination - the Watch's gold is too muted. If you wanted permission, just wear whatever you like!

I think it looks awesome. If you buy a gold watch, it usually has a gold band. The two different finishes complement each other.

I actually like the look, mainly as all the watch's i own are black, silver or titanium.
i've just recently bought the sports gold with blue band, can i ask where you bought the strap from, and does it come with the adapters. ?

EBay... It does not need adapters so to speak as it is just like the apple Milaneseb loop.

I think the gold of the AWS is more subtle and muted. The gold in the band is very bright and much more yellow. That being said, it's always hard to tell from pictures. Every picture I see of the Milanese loop on a sport looks awful to me, but in person, it's a much more subtle difference.

I ordered a gold milanese to go on my wife's gold sport. It should be here in another day or two.

We knew going into it that the finish wasn't going to match, but for about $20bucks it was worth a shot. Hard to judge until you've got it in real life, but in most of those pictures it's not a big enough difference to be a deal breaker.
