Can you check is your ODD bay PATA or SATA (About this Mac -> More info)? If it is PATA, then that adapter is what you need. Let me know how it goes, I've been thinking of replacing my ODD with an SSD

About this Mac says I have an "ATA" Superdrive so I think it is a PATA one.

The SSD I will put inside will take the place of the HDD I currently have. The new HDD (12,5mm) will go into the Opticalbay.

But is this Optical Bay designed for iMacs, I mean will all the screws and nuts fit well with the ones of the iMac?

iMacs use slot-loading laptop optical drives so it should work. Obviously, I have no experience with that product so I don't know for sure. Contact the seller and ask them.

Question send, still no answer...
I'm wondering if the stores are usually opened Mondays in California...

Ordered! For those who were wondering, the salesman said "if your Superdrive has a PATA interface, then it's the good one. OpticalBays are designed to fit iMacs."
