Does anyone know, or have any guess if something like this will work with the new Macs? Will the interface/software run via Rosetta? I am using it with my iMac that is the only thing I have a question about for my upgrade to the new Mac mini.

If someone also knows of alternative speaker setup as Optical Audio has been frustrating for many years. I like 5.1 Surround Sound.

For a quick check, if you do have an iPad with usb-c, you can plug that to your iPad to see if it is supported on iPad. If it is, then you will get a high chance that it is supported on M1 Mac.

Kernel extensions does not work under Rosetta so if the sound card require installing a kernel extension, then you have to wait.

On macOS, it is pretty much plug and play. I don't know if it installs kernel extensions in the background, but I do not need to manually install anything. I do for Windows.
