So, on the off-chance there’s any digital audio enthusiasts here ripping their CDs with XLD, Apple is using a “new” SuperDrive that’s not in the AccurateRip database currently. Since most folks don’t have a VM with Windows and EAC/AccurateRip loaded up, I figured I’d take the time to calculate the drive’s offset for those of you who want to know. As soon as I can figure out how to submit my results to the AR database I will, but until then:

HL-DT-STDVDRW GA32N
Read offset: +103
Drive does not cache audio data (verified with cachex and Feurio!)

EDIT: To those with ones other than the 27” iMac, are the other iMacs using the same drive, or a different one?

Mac Mini Superdrive HL-DT-ST DVDRW GA32N

Don't know about other iMacs, but I just purchased the latest aluminum unibody Mac Mini, and it has the exact same Superdrive as your iMac (HL-DT-ST DVDRW GA32N, firmware revision KC08). I wasn't able to find it in the AccuRip database either, so thank you for doing the R&D on this. I need the offset to setup XLD.

You should add the offset info to the database....

Thanks again.....cheers!!
