iPhones and MacBooks support optimized battery charging. Has Apple ever stated why they still haven’t added it to iPads? Is it just because they have no real competition in tablets so they’re not interested in helping customers extend the life of their devices?

Or maybe it already has it but Apple learned from adding the indicators to the UI with the iPhone that people are obsessive about the silly health percentage... Oh no my battery is at 99% health.

Already has it? None of my iPads have that option and iPads are the only Apple devices I’ve ever had to replace due to battery not holding charge, ie health.

iPads took forever to get the low power mode. Kind of surprised that the optimized charging didn't come with that. My only guess is, it may be because iPads don't spend that much time plugged in like other devices (if people use them like I use my iPads).

There's a kiosk mode for iPads plugged in 24/7.
