ok so which is better to do when i first get my macbook and turn it on?

1- Plug the macbook in and hit the power button..

2- Plug the macbook in let it charge and when its green hit the power button...

Just wondering for when i open it on christmas eve =D

Do whatever you want

Thats the bottom line, it won't make a difference either way. Open, power, enjoy. Think about the battery when it runs out.:D

I calibrated mine on the first cycle.

Charged it to Green after I opened the box. Let it sit on the charger at full green for two hours. Then worked on it with only the battery till the battery was exhausted and the Macbook went to sleep on its own.

Waited about 7 hours (only have to wait at least 5), then charged it to full green again.

Good luck with your new MB!
