Does anyone else have the strange issue, that the Option key of an Apple Silicon Mac doesn't work as expected during remote connections and screen sharing, especially while connected with older Intel Mac models?
All other keys do what they should, but character combinations that need the Option key to be pressed, simply won't appear. The Keyboard Viewer on the remote Intel Mac shows that the Option key is pressed. I can then enter the character, while holding down the Option key and pressing the desired key on the Keyboard Viewer. Pressing the physical key on the internal keyboard of a M3 PowerBook (macOS 14.x) or on an external Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Numeric Keypad doesn't work during remote sessions over local and remote networks. Screen Sharing app and Apple Remote Desktop are affected.
Any comments are appreciated, also from MR members that aren't affected by the issue.
