hey guys! been out and about for quite some time...did not have time to consult mac rumors..

was browsing through the web and found software that will help my macbook against theft...is it worth the £25 i will pay for it???

does anyone use this? or any + or - outcomes from using this software.

would love to hear what you have to say

cheers guys :)

imo software based security solutions are not worth their cost. I have yet to know of anyone who had a laptop recovered by these firms. If the thief doesn't connect the laptop to the internet or wipes the hard drive, the security system will not do anything.

You are better off spending the money on a cheap security cable for use when your computer is at your desk, and just keep an eye on it when its not.

Undercover

There is another thread that talks about this more on this forum. I like undercover. You can prevent the thief from wiping your hard-drive with a firmware password and it takes screenshots.
