Sheesh, I ordered a MacBook two weeks ago, it shipped early on the 27th from Ireland to the UK, but after 5 phone calls and about 20 emails to Apple I finally managed to ascertain that my MacBook has been sitting dormant in the UK wharehouse for about 5 days and will sit there for another 5 until someone bothers to hand it over to UPS on the 10th for delivery on the 11th-12th.

I ordered 2gigs of ram off eBay from Taiwan along with my MacBook. That arrived within the week.

I don't know what Apple's problem is with shipping in the UK but it's the worst I've experienced with any electronics company. Ever.

At this rate there'll be MBP updates by the time the damn thing arrives, in which case I'm starting to think I'll put my MacBook straight up on eBay and buy a CD MBP.

Sorry to hear. My Mini came in about 3 days, not BTO tho, just stock, was the 1.83 model ordered about an hour after they announced them, shipped the very next morning and came within 2 days. My experience was pretty good. Was the same when I ordered my iPod Mini all them years ago, the delivery driver got stuck in traffic but made an extra special effort because I was nice on the phone and ended up turning up at my house at 11pm... I got my iPod tho, gave the bloke a tenner too...

Sorry, you prolly didn't want to hear that, but patience my friend, is a virtue. :)

Enjoy
