Hey there.
Every time I've ordered something BTO in the Apple Store all scheduled times tended to be a little more than expected.

Yesterday I called the Apple Store (my university offers a 12% discount which I couldn't get in the site (just a 6%) and there's no option for BTOs in an actual Apple Store) and ordered this mini:

i7 2.6GHz
256GB SSD
4GB RAM (will manually upgrade to 16GB).

It said 2-4 days to assemble and ship it. The guy on the phone told me it'd be delivered by the 15th. Today I receive an email from Apple saying it's preparing for shipment, delivery by the 12th.

When TNT finally got it scanned, it says deliver by this friday the 2nd.

Is this even possible? Am I gonna receive a regular mini? LOL

My iPhone 4S came a few days early, shouldn't be a problem :)

Certainly possible. Apple seems to be taking a page from Amazon's playbook of under-promise and over-deliver on shipping times. My mini was ordered early on the 25th, CPU bump as the only customization, and originally estimated to deliver Nov 2 - 6. After shipping, FedEx tracking said delivery on Oct 31. It came yesterday on the 29th. :D

WOW that's nice! Hope something similar happens to me. I'll even have to go sooner than expected to buy the RAM, lol

Ordered a Mini Server (i7, SSD, 16GB) on 10/27, was quoted 11/2, it's scheduled for delivery tomorrow (10/31).

It's a classic rule of successful business: under-promise and over-deliver.

My 2.6GHz i7 with Fusion Drive was supposed to take 7-10 days before it could ship. Instead, it took 3 days. I paid $13 for 2-3 day shipping, and it will be here Friday,

My mid Mini with SSD was to arrive on 9th - TNT will deliver this afternoon :)
