Hi all,

I'm buying my first ever mac, a 2.0Ghz, 20" Intel iMac with 2GB Ram, 256MB VRAM, 250GB HD and really looking forward to making the switch. So I'm tracking my order (every two minutes!) and it says this:

Shipped: 31 May 2006

Estimated Delivery Date: 09 Jun 2006 (Subject to change)

Current Delivery Status: In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule - 02 Jun 2006

So I know when it was shipped, when it is estimated to arrive, but what does the 02 June 2006 mean?

Does it mean I am currently due to receive it on the 2nd June? That would seem rather quick wouldn't it? Do most people receive their orders before the estimated date? Or does it mean something else?

Cheers

At a guess I would say the Mac will be leaving China on the 2nd. It's already left the factory and will be sat somewhere awaiting transport to wherever you live. Then it will have to clear customs in your country before being shipped to you via the courier company.

Going Crazy With The Waiting!!!

I'm in exactly the same position as Axegrinder there. My music partner and I have both just decided to take the plunge and "Mac-up" our home studio (Logic Pro had better be worth it APPLE!!!) and even though the order was place on the 17th MAY we still only have a delivery date of the 9th June. Most disappointing. Although better than the 13th they originally told us.

We're waiting for a 17" MBP (with the faster hard-drive) and a spec'd up 20" iMAC.

Any ideas on why the  ARGH GODDAMN  it all takes so long?
