Hey guys,

my friends parents ordered an iMac on Sunday, got the email that it shipped yesterday. What are the chances that it's the new 21.5 inch and not the old 20 inch iMac? Also, if it is the old one, can they send it back for the new one, if they don't open it at all?

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Sweet. They asked my advice before buying, since I'm the resident Apple guy around here. First thing I did was consult the buying guide here, then looked in the forums and saw all the stuff saying new ones were coming on Tuesday. I told them to wait, and if no new ones came out, to buy it on Tuesday, but they really wanted one, since they are without a computer right now. Getting this much better one, for cheaper should make them quite pleased.

Thanks for the info!

If Apple substituted the new model, they would have informed them via email. Return that sucker.

I agree with the others. Just have them return it. Maybe next time they will listen to your advice. ;)
