Ordered from macmall. Anyone had issues with macmall?

I am only ordering from macmall because it is cheaper. I could order from apple, but macmall was like 180 dollars cheaper because they weren't charging taxes and etc. And apple wouldn't price match.

So, I pulled the trigger with macmall. It is on the way with UPS. Anyone ordered MBA from macmall and had issues?

If you order an Apple product from someone other than Apple, you don't get the option to order Applecare? And it voids your warranty?

OP: I ordered my maxed out MBA 11.6" from MacMall and did not have a problem at all. Got mine with free overnight shipping which was awesome. Like you said, no taxes really helps save a few bucks.

OP - MacMall and any other Apple Authorized Resellers are authorized to sell Apple computers to end users. As a result, by purchasing the system from them, your original 1 year warranty will be honored and you will also be eligible to purchase the Apple Care Protection Plan which offers an additional 2 years of extended hardware coverage plus phone support coverage for all 3 years.

Apple in my opinion, has the best warranty, for the most part. Warranty's connected to the serial number... I've bought products on ebay and other used apple products and they have been serviced by apple.

Of all the machines Ive purchased, Ive always purchased from the store or online store, utilizing some form of discount or another. I was told buying anywhere aside from Apple or a store with an Apple account (i.e. BestBuy) voids any type of official warranty.

Aside from that, even if I did have an option of ordering somewhere else and keeping the same warranty, I wouldnt sacrifice the customer service and piece of mind I have from knowing I have never had any problems ordering directly from Apple to save a few dollars. But thats just my opinion and you can go about ordering however youd like.

You get an apple warranty and the ability to purchase applecare. Please provide proof, of the contrary. By the way, MacMall is an authorized apple dealer.

Ordered via appleinsider link 13.3/4/128 for saving 6% off (+1% off credit card) and received 11/4. No problems. $200 saved can go to AppleCare if I would go this route but usually I sell/buy before the 1 year ends.

You were told a lie. There is no truth in that. Apple provides a warranty on all its computers, regardless of where they're sold. That warranty is transferable, even if a Mac is later sold by an individual.

No matter where you buy your Mac, you can always use Apple customer service and deal directly with Apple on warranty issues.

There is nothing wrong with ordering from Macmall. They are listed on Apple's website as an authorize reseller.

I'd say the only slight downside is that their listed inventory is sometimes not 100% up-to-date, so sometimes there is a slight delay. I've found Amazon's inventory is more up-to-date (if it is from Amazon, not a 3rd party using the Amazon site). On the other hand, Macmall sells custom configurations, which Amazon doesn't do.

I'm typing away on my maxed out 13in Air right now. I saved over $100 + taxes + got Paralells and an HP printer free after rebates. I had to wait a little bit because they didn't get the BTO Airs in right away but it actually arrived a week earlier than they originally told me over the phone. I had a great experience with them and plan to purchase all my new Apple purchases from them.

there's a beauty to Apples warranty.

And that's one of the reasons they fetch such high resale value.

You can easily check the status of any Apple machine online also.

Some companies won't even let you transfer a warranty. But those are mostly for more specialized equipment.

Note: But WTF happened to the Macmall question?

They have the best prices right now for all the models, and they say "in Stock" with the little moon (which means overnight I guess)

I think if they have the little moon there, your chances of getting it this month improve a bit

I bought my 15" MBP previously from Macmall, no issues. The only thing you might need to do sometimes if you buy from non Apple is that your warranty might not show up as the full year. Then you need to contact Apple to adjust the warranty date, they will want proof of purchase faxed to them, which I did. Added AppleCare separately later on.

I did buy my 13" MBA from the Apple retail store - it was still pretty new and I didn't want a wait, plus I could use my company's employee purchase pricing with Apple so that helped with the price a little bit.

I ordered a fully loaded 13" from MacMall on Friday afternoon and I had it on Saturday morning - less that 24 hours later. The computer was $1750 and it was less that $30 for overnight Saturday delivery. I ordered over the phone and the salesperson was very friendly and helpful. The computer is perfect. I also have an 11" which I'll likely be selling.

I ordered my MBA that I'm posting from now from Macmall. Not only did I save a ton of money, but I got the machine 5 days sooner than promised.

I saved $206 on my order and had to wait maybe an extra 2 days. I also got a free copy of Parallels (yes after rebate I know).

I couldn't be more happy.
