ordered my macbook today!

i'm so excited that i have to share. my husband, bless his heart, doesn't understand why i'm so worked up about getting a new mac. i thought that at least folks here would understand!

i ordered the black macbook with 1gb of ram and a 100gb hard drive. the estimated ship date is 10/24. also ordered a display (the 20"), applecare, wireless mighty mouse, and an extra power adapter.

my trusty 12" powerbook will be up for sale soon as i get everything moved over to the macbook...

You're going to love it! The BT Mighty Mouse is especially sweet. I am jealous of the display. I want to get one sometime but seeing as how I have absolutely no money I'll have to wait a while. Enjoy your computer, it's probably the best thing you bought all year.

i was thinking of getting the 23" display, but instead decided applecare was more important, so i got the 20" instead given the extra cost of the warranty.

fivetoadsloth: i did order the mini-dvi to dvi adapter, so i should be all set! thanks for the reminder, though!

i will take pics when i get everything set up. my husband is going to be so jealous! (he has a crappy old dell laptop hooked up to a 17" display.) hmmm, that wasn't a very charitable good wife thought, was it?

kidding. I believe it is Apple cinema display. I have one, too. 23-inch. I love it.
