I just got the RAM i ordered from OWC but it's not OWC it's Techworks which is another RAM type that is on the website. Is this normal? Is this RAM ok?

Ordered OWC RAM but received Techworks?

Did you order OWC brand or Techworks brand? OWC sells both.
TechWorks is just fine, and OWC stands behind it, so I would feel perfectly fine using TechWorks from there. However, I'm not entirely sure how the warranty works on TechWorks brand...it doesn't say it's an advance warranty, so you may have to deal with TechWorks and go without RAM for a bit longer as they address the warranty claim. I've been very happy with my OWC-branded RAM and take comfort in knowing that I only have to deal with one vendor if something ever goes wrong.
But it would be a bit odd to have received a different from brand from the one you ordered. TechWorks brand is generally just a couple of bucks more than OWC brand, and maybe they were low on OWC-branded sticks.

yea i thought it was a little weird. i think im just going to go with it. hopefully it turns out alright. i really want to get that ram in my computer haha.
i ordered OWC just to clarify. anyway i just installed the ram and its working great. another great thing to note is that ive been running off battery power for the past half hour while on the internet and i have yet to have a kernel panic. so hopefully that means good things for my future. we shall see.
