Just spent the most money ever in one order - $4000 AUD for a MacBook Pro 15", iWork, Midi keyboard, case for the mac, and a cable to plug in my guitar.

Pity it says "Estimated Ship: 2-3 weeks" for the actual computer, but I'm assuming it'll ship quicker than that. Is my assumption correct?

Lookin' forward to makin' some musical magic and managing my business - never really used a mac before (as in, for extended periods of time) so it should be quite fun. :)

Don't get your hopes up with the delivery though.
 
Well I ain't in any rush, so it doesn't really matter.

2-3 weeks coincides with 6-7 weeks of Holidays - plenty of time for some hardcore Mac usage. :)

The rest of the stuff should be here by Friday, so at least I can start playing the keyboard, and admire everything else I bought. :p
 
Very nice. I just ordered my first mac (disregarding the old apple IIe's I cut my teeth on via the public school system), and I'm looking forward to making music as well. Just need to spring for an Apogee Duet now. And take up bank robbery as an additional side project.

Which MIDI keyboard did you grab? I'm considering one myself.
 
Go for logic if you're into make music seriously too :) great synths in there and it just got an update.

haha, Apple can't be that bad at shipping!
The order status says I'll have it by the 27th of December - I still reckon I'll get it quicker than that though.

Everything is arriving tomorrow except the actual Mac...I don't see why it takes them 2-3 weeks to change the hard drive and send it off.
 
Sweet! I knew it! I didn't think it would take them really 3 weeks to ship it. The Macbook Pro has been shipped and it says it'll arrive on Thursday - but the last package arrived within 48 hours of being shipped, so I reckon I'll have it by Wednesday at the latest.
 
Man, school tomorrow is going to so painful!

It should be arriving just after I leave - least I have a short day.

Can't wait for my MBP! :D

I think he was insinuating that the MacBook Pro's will be updated soon.
