ordering a MBP tonight help?

I have a black macbook Core Duo 2gb Ram 7200 rpm hard drive

Tonight I am going to order the MBP. I do mostly audio and will be doing video editing. Which is the best screen for video editing? I like the glossy on my macbook now but have never seen it on a macbook pro. I was also told that the matte screens only have the new led screen, where as apple support told me they both do. Also Is it worth it to make the jump to the 256 mb graphics card or is 128 fine? I am planning on running pro tools, final cut pro, ableton live on my computer. Also is it cheaper at this point to order the smaller drive and upgrade on my own to the 160gb 7200 rpm drive for the extra 130? It doesn't seem like it would be cheaper to do it on my own any more.

In your shoes I would pick up the 256MB Video Card version, 7200RPM HDD, and the matte screen for use with the Pro apps.

ah sh*t so i just realized the mbp with the 7200 rpm drive will take 4-6 weeks to get delivered. Does anyone know which websites actually sell the 160 and up hard drives. New Egg and Tiger Direct don't have them.

Hmmm... This brings up an interesting point.
We all know that graphics professionals in general loathe glossy screens due to their "unnatural" great vibrant colours. How do LED backlit screens stack up in this department? Perhaps you would be best going for the 17" just because it uses a normal CCFL screen?

If not, one vote for 15" 2.4 w. 256mb VRAM.

If the MBP has an easy, non warranty voiding replaceable HDD, just go with the default. It's big, fast and power miserly. Then in a year or two, pick up a 256GB flash HDD and swap it out yourself.

i cant wait 4 more weeks, so i ordered it with the minimum hard drive and paid the extra 70 bucks and bought the 7200 rpm 160gb seagate elsewhere. Hopefully the installation goes smooth.

But you invalidate your Applecare if you replace it ?!?

Same problem i'm having - i normally by 7200rpm drives but i don't like the sound of a 4-6 week wait !!

apple care was a waste for my macbook. I am not to worried, as long as getting the case back on the macbook pro isnt to hard it should be good. my hard drive should be arrive tomorrow and hopefully laptop by thurs.
